MEET OUR 2024 BEEF AMBASSADORS

ELSIE CZISKE and KENZIE BARTA

We are very proud of both of these young ladies and wish them the best of luck in college this fall. Each will receive complimentary memberships to local, state, and national cattlewomen organizations and a $500 scholarship.

Our first ambassador is Miss Elsie Cziske of Ellensburg in Kittitas County. She attended Ellensburg High School, but will be a Sophomore at Washington State University this fall. She is pursuing a degree in Agriculture Technology Management and an active member of the Ag Tech Club and the WSU Young Farmers and Ranchers.

Elsie has been very active in the Kittitas County CattleWomen organization by attending meetings and volunteering at events. She was also a Kittitas County Fair Ambassador, which allowed her to serve and represent her community and the biggest tradition of the year. She has a strong passion for her community and the agriculture industry. Throughout high school she also stayed active with sports, 4-H, and FFA.

Miss Kenzie Barta is our other ambassador and is from Rosalia in Whitman County. She attended Liberty High School, but is currently enrolled in the University of Idaho as a Sophomore studying Agricultural Science, Communication, and Leadership. Her specialty focus is in the animal and plant sciences as well as rangeland management.

Throughout her high school years, she was involved with various events and opportunities including FFA President, National Honor Society Secretary, Associated Student Body Treasurer, and the Spokane Scholars Social Studies Nominee. Along with that, she was also the Valedictorian for her graduating class. In her last year of FFA, she was awarded the Washington FFA State Degree and the District Five Star Farmer award for her breeding cow operation.

Now at her college, Kenzie has been involved in various clubs on campus including Block and Bridle, Collegiate FFA, Student Idaho Cattle Association (SICA), and Women in Ag. She also helped with the Charolais show string on campus by feeding and washing every morning during the fall. She attended Idaho Cattle Association Convention through the SICA club, which allowed her to strengthen her knowledge and connections in the cattle industry as well. She is on the Dean's List for the College of Agriculture with a 4.0 GPA.
